At Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, near Cairns.

Looking down from the Skyrail cable car to the Boomerang throwing area in Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. We had both enjoyed practicing throwing boomerangs here earlier in the day.

We took the Skyrail cable car from Tjapukai up to Kuranda - a rather touristy town, famous for its many market stalls. Skyrail gave a good view down to the rainforest canopy.

From Kuranda, we took a train downback down to sea level.

From Cairns, we went by boat to Green Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef.

Throughout the whole trip we saw lots of tree roots like this. They are called, appropriately, buttress roots.
